Cypress Health Partners Launches Major New York Expansion

January 4, 2023

Cypress Health Partners (CHP), a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy services throughout New England, announces its expansion into the Upstate New York market, further cementing the organization’s commitment to deliver high quality care to underserved markets.

Cypress Health Partners’ market entry was achieved through an innovative partnership with Sports PT of New York (Sports PT of NY), which will be joining the Company’s MVPT Physical Therapy (MVPT) brand. The Sports PT team has a tremendous history of delivering high-quality care to the Buffalo, Syracuse, and Saratoga markets and will benefit from CHP’s extensive resources and dedication to expanding access to care.

“Cypress Health Partners and Sports PT of New York are a perfect fit to work together,” said Steven Windwer, DC, PT, CHP’s President & CEO. “Founder Lynn Steenberg and her team have continually demonstrated their commitment to delivering great access to care, a fantastic patient experience, and incredible clinical outcomes. Together, we are committed to improving musculoskeletal health in Upstate New York, building deep relationships with the communities that we serve, and developing our teams to achieve their potential.”

“As I looked toward the future of Sports PT, I wanted not only to work with a partner that could provide critical administrative and systems support but also one that shared our vision and was committed to developing our team,” stated Lynn Steenberg, PT, ATC, LAT, President, CEO and Founder of Sports PT of NY and now Regional Director for CHP’s New York Region. “With Cypress Health Partners, I felt tremendous alignment in both of these areas. I am excited about the future that we’re building together.”

CHP has developed a robust network of more than 120 physical therapist-owned and locally operated clinics. “We’re working to build a better model for musculoskeletal health that puts patients first, reduces the cost of care, and helps our communities live healthier and more active lifestyles,” added Brady Hill, SVP of Strategy at Cypress Health Partners. “We’ve long believed that the communities of Upstate New York deserve access to better care, and we’re thrilled to be working with the Sports PT team to achieve it.”

With the latest expansion of partnerships, CHP will offer accessible and exceptional care to patients in five states throughout the Northeast, all united by a “physical therapy first” care philosophy designed to help individuals reach their full potential. CHP is fully committed to building a better model for musculoskeletal health and reducing healthcare costs as our partners together improve patient outcomes and achieve outstanding patient satisfaction scores.
